No statewide lottery in Utah

Utah is one of a small number of jurisdictions that have historically not run a state lottery. That means there are no official Utah draw games, and national games such as Powerball and Mega Millions are not sold within the state. There is no Utah Lottery body, no in-state retailer network selling tickets, and no official local results to publish — so anything claiming to be the “Utah lottery” should be treated with caution.

Why some states don’t take part

Tickets are only valid when bought from an authorised retailer in a participating jurisdiction, and any prize is governed by the rules of the state where the ticket was sold — not by where the player lives.
